STREAM FLOWING FROM CONSOLATION LAKES

The creek that diverted from the glacier-fed Consolation Lakes was flowing quite nicely. While wandering back to where the hike began – Moraine Lake, I found several spots along the stream where I had a moment to take pleasure in the flourishing forest. The sporadically visible blue sky with the still lingering clouds through the little openings of the woods was a welcoming sign that it may not rain after all. In spite of all the alarming rain clouds that mildly put me at unease earlier at the lake…
