Near the Halfway Rock, aka Angel Rock, Twin Devil and Split Rock, I gazed at this strange phenomenon happening before my eyes. The sun was still hanging high enough, and yet the ocean was glowing so much that it looked like a sunset going on. For quite some time I was transfixed at the view of the prevalent Manzanitas and the gently glinting snow slowly getting coated in a tint of yellow. Catalina Island surrounded by the glowing sky and ocean looked quite mysterious.
